The LA Comedy 365 is a monthly series featuring shorts, features, tv pilots, web series, filmed sketch comedy, animation & live comedy acts. Submissions are always open! This monthly series gives filmmakers and comedy performers the opportunity to showcase their work in our beautiful Let Live Theatre in the Heart of Hollywood.
Submissions will be considered on a rolling basis throughout the year for monthly events.
Submitting to the LA Comedy 365 Series does not guarantee acceptance to the bi-annual LA Comedy Film Festival, as the two are programmed independently. Feel free to submit to both!
The LA Comedy Film Festival began in 2001 and is our longest running festival! Over the years we have had the privilege to work with hundreds of filmmakers who have told wonderfully hilarious and moving stories.
Past LA Comedy Film Festivals have featured thousands of performers and hundreds of films from LA and around the world. Our dual emphasis is on “discovering” great comedic talent with the purpose of promoting it to both the entertainment industry and the LA public, as well as, showcasing the works of seasoned professionals and well known stars.
Past participants have gone on to win the OSCAR, LAST COMIC STANDING, have their Web Series developed for Network TV, Feature Film Theatrical Distribution and join the cast of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!!! Many already well-known performers have had films screened at the festival as well. Short (10-30 min)

TV Pilot (industry standard 22 mins)
Web Series (up to three episodes with combined TRT of no more than 30 mins)
Sketch Comedy (under 10 min)
Music Video (under 10 min)
Live Comedy (standup, sketch, improv, musical, variety, solo show, etc.)
LA Film Festivals began with the LA Comedy Festival in 2001, adding the LA Indie Film Fest in 2007. The LA Film Festival family has since expanded to 12 independent film festivals, including LA Horror Film Fest, LA Action Film Fest, LA Sci-Fi Film Fest, LA Animated Film Fest, LA Black Film Fest, LA Asian Film Fest, LA Latinx Film Fest, LA Queer Film Fest, LA Women in Film Fest and LA Student Film Fest.
Over the years, LA Film Festivals have attracted thousands of filmmakers from around the world. Each festival features live screenings in our own Let Live Theater in the heart of Los Angeles. Our 80-seat theater is outfitted with a Christie DLP projector and seven JBL speakers throughout the venue, delivering top notch quality in an intimate screening environment. Filmmakers whose work is accepted into our festival will receive free passes to screenings, invitations to networking events and are eligible for awards consideration.
