Spaced Cat
Short
A stoner cat Tom and his friend Freddy have their munchies
plan interrupted when Tom is abducted by a secret
government agency on his way to the deli to get some fish. In a
government experiment gone awry; Tom is sent to the dark
side of the moon, but if the mission succeeds, he may well find
the secrets to the universe.

Directors Statement: Spaced Cat is a dedication to my formative years growing up in the Seventies, listening to Rock and Roll of the day, hanging out with my stoner friends and reading underground magazines such as Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, Zap comics and of course the great art of Robert Crumb.
It's just an honest nod to those times. It is the kind of movie myself and best friend Freddy Davis would have laughed at or even wrote together back in the day.
We lost Freddy a few years ago so this film is dedicated to him. Because he was there with me side by side through all of those early adventures and my explorations into super 8 filmmaking, which is how I caught the filmmaking bug in the first place.
Technical Notes: 2 Years in the making by a team of over a dozen artists. Spaced Cat is primarily hand drawn and animated frame by frame by artists, with some assistance in post processing with the computer to add lighting effects.
